Following upon the success of our spring Harry Potter Trivia event, the Samuel C. Williams Library hosted its second Harry Potter Trivia game, replete with all-new questions about the Harry Potter universe, on October 24, 2018.
To foster a more Hogwarts-like environment, participants were given the option to don a graduation gown. Teams were formed of two to four players: For Faulkes’ Sake; Mandrakes; Granger Danger; Bethly Ballows; Butter Beer Lovers; Alas, Earwax; and the eventual winners, The Order of the Duck.
The students competed through five rounds of trivia questions, which one student noted were “all good levels of question[s] ranging from easy to difficult.” The rounds were themed: Fantastic Beasts; Magical Objects and Spells; Family/Names; The Dead; and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Bean, a miscellany that also included questions based on images from the books or movies.
The Order of the Duck (pictured at top) won the game with a score of 51 out of a potential 60 points, and Granger Danger (below) was the runner-up with a score of 49. Both teams won Harry Potter figurines.
