Library Resources and Services Updates

Due to the recent malware attack, Stevens continues to work to restore access to all systems. 

December 4 Update: Printers drivers are now available for your personal computers. 

You can send print jobs from your personal computer.

December 2 Update: Printers have been returned to the network and the payment system. 

To Print: 

  • You must print from either the 2  iMacs or borrow a laptop from the Circulation Desk.
  • Black & white prints are $0.04 per page ($0.03 per page for double-sided)
  • Color prints are $0.40 ($0.39 per page for double-sided)
  • Division of Information Technology is working on restoring printer drivers for personal printing as well as full functionality to Library computer work stations
  • Please ask a Library staff member if you need help. 

September 25 Update:

While we await restoration to our full printing/copying services, the Library is pleased to announce temporary, complimentary copying, scanning, and printing at the stations on the first floor of the Library.

Please note:
  • Only Letter size (8 1/2 x 11 inch) can be printed. A4 printing is not available.
  • Maximum 25 prints per session.
  • Photocopying is available

To print your documents (2 options):

Use a USB Flash drive directly into the printer/copier to:

  • Print PDF only from your USB drive.
  • Scan to PDF only on your USB drive.

or

Use one of the two computer workstations only to:

  • Insert your USB drive into the computer to print directly to one of the two printer/copiers.
  • Print a document from the Internet.
  • Other computer workstations are for Internet use only (no printing) at this time.

August 29 Update:

  • Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services have been restored.
  • Book checkout via the Circulation Desk workstation is available.  Laptop borrowing remains unavailable.
  • Computers, printers, and scanners remain unavailable. Printing options: With a Hoboken Public Library card you can print there. HPL is located at the corner of 5th Street and Park Avenue. There is also a FedEx Office Print Center at 119 River Street.

August 26 Update:

  • IT has been able to reestablish database access, on-campus and off-campus.
  • WiFi has been restored in the Library. 
  • The Duckbills machine is operational.
  • Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services remain unavailable.
  • Computers, printers, and scanners remain unavailable. Printing options: With a Hoboken Public Library card you can print there. HPL is located at the corner of 5th Street and Park Avenue. There is also a FedEx Office Print Center at 119 River Street. 

August 16 Update:

  1. Access to Library services and resources (research databases, Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services, library catalog) is unavailable due to the necessity to authenticate, which Stevens is addressing. 
  2. The thesis/dissertation submission deadline has been extended to August 27.
  3. WiFi, computers, scanners, and printers in the Library are unavailable.
