All candidates must successfully defend their thesis or dissertation with departments before their final submission to the library. Please be sure to start the submission process below in advance of the acceptance deadline so we have plenty of time to review your report for formatting edits.
  • Master's and Doctoral candidates need to submit their finalized thesis/dissertation electronically through the ETD Administrator. If you have questions about submitting your dissertation electronically, please refer to the FAQ.
  • Dissertations only – Please fill out the Survey of Earned Doctorates before submitting the hard copies to the Library.
  • The library will approve the format or suggest changes.
  • Once approved, please schedule an appointment with Ted Houghtaling, to submit the final print submissions of completed dissertations, master’s theses, senior theses, and senior design projects. Please make an appointment with Ted Houghtaling to submit your document between the hours of 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Once the process is completed all three physical copies of the report will be sent off-site for professional binding. Upon their return to the Library, one is catalogued for the permanent Library collection while the other two will be delivered to the student's respective department. Students who want additional copies of their reports bound may do so at their own expense.

Any questions about submitting a thesis, dissertation or report should be directed to:
