The Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe project is an EU-based initiative to collect in one place "the entire Open Access scientific production of the European Research Area." They now provide access to publications from thousands of repositories in EU member countries.
Scopus and Web of Science are citation indexes to which the Library subscribes and in their organization of scholarly citations (journal articles, conference papers, and other documents), they both make it easy to locate publications made available open access.
Academic books published open access are subjected to the same stringent levels of peer review and editing as those published traditionally. The resources below include descriptions about their peer review process.
Fully open journals are known as GOLD OA. HYBRID OA journals publish articles both OA and traditionally.
Open access repositories are known as GREEN OA. Authors self-archive either the pre-publication version of their work or the version of record (if copyright agreements allow).
