Library Instruction

Stevens faculty and teaching assistants are invited to request library instruction for their classes. Instruction librarians will work with you to plan and deliver instruction relevant to your course and student research assignment.

To submit a request for an instruction session:

OVERVIEW

Course-Related Library Instruction

  • Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral Students

    • Sessions are taught by subject liaison librarians and focus on research strategies, critical thinking concepts, and research and citation resources.

    • Library instruction sessions are typically tied to a research-based course assignment.

    • Course guides are designed to accompany instruction and facilitate research.

  • First-Year Undergraduates

    • All first-year students attend a Library session as part of CAL 103: Writing and Communication Colloquium for an introduction to academic research skills.
