Document Requests

If the library does not have an article or document in our collection, we can request a copy from another library.

Placing Requests

Stevens students, faculty, and staff can request a document by using the Interlibrary Loan Request Portal. If the library is able to secure the document, the document will be sent to your Stevens email address.

Costs

Document Requests are Free.

Turnaround

Usually 3-10 business days.

Documents Ineligible through Interlibrary Loan: 

• Documents that are already available through the Samuel C. Williams Library's subscription databases or print periodicals

• Entire issues of periodicals. We can get individual documents only. No more than 3 articles per issue of a journal will be filled in one calendar year to comply with copyright laws. 

• Rare or archival materials, including manuscripts

• All standards, including ISO, ASTM, or ANSI standards

• Harvard Business Review cases

• Chapters of books 

• Other items that are subject to copyright limitations
