The Librarians recommend that you definitely try ProQuest Central as it is broad in scope and includes a wide variety of material to use in your research.
The Library subscribes to a number of databases that bring together a wide variety of subjects and content. Academic Search Premier is part of the broader collection from EBSCOhost.
While you'll find newspaper articles in some of the databases listed above, the databases included here are focused on newspapers and so will give you a better result when that's what you want.
You can also create a free account for the websites of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal to read current news and search their archives.
To find a book at the Library, start with the search bar on library.stevens.edu and use the filters to narrow your results to books held by Stevens, or go to the Books page under the Find tab in the red menu bar for a search that's already been narrowed to books.
When you find a book you like, bring it and your DuckCard to the Circulation Desk (where you swipe your card to enter the building) to check it out.

Stevens students can get 1-year non-resident cards (renewable every year) which gives you access to the books not only in Hoboken Public Library but also in the broader consortium of area libraries, as well as many neat digital resources!
