Information on registering to vote and current NJ elections for eligible Stevens students.

How to Register in All Fifty States + American Territories

Election information varies by state and territory. Check Vote.gov for current registration information for your home.

Remember: college students can register to vote where they go to college. However, you might consider registering in your home state/territory if you think you might move back after you graduate and instead vote by mail while in college.

Absentee or Mail-in Ballots

Absentee or mail-in ballots are always available from your home state if you will be away at the time of an election.

Different states have different requirements and deadlines, so make sure you look into it early to give yourself enough time to request the ballot and return it for the primary and/or general elections.

ELECTION RESULTS

The state Division of Elections does not track election results, but they do provide a list of county websites that will show election results tallied by that county once the election has concluded.

This guide was inspired by the one originally created by Aimee Slater, Government Information and Social Sciences Librarian, at Brandeis University.
